Castle House
Claire Nicholls, Castle House's Head Chef, is one of the most talented in this part of the UK. She is passionate about sourcing her ingredients as close to the hotel as she can, and works closely with the huge variety of committed producers whose livelihood is based in Hereford and the Herefordshire Marches. Almost unique to the hotel is that owner, David Watkins, supplies the kitchen with produce and beef from the pedigree Herefordshire herd on his Hereford farm, Ballingham Hall.
Whether eating in the three-AA Rosette à la carte restaurant - the only three rosette restaurant in Herefordshire - from Claire's seasonally-changing menu, or have a light lunch in our Castle Bistro, you'll experience the skill and innovation of Claire's kitchen team.
The Castle Bistro is open from 7am until 10pm for morning coffee and pastries to enjoy with the papers, proper afternoon tea and cocktails, and a Bistro-style dinner menu, all of which can be served on our peaceful terrace when the sun shines.
Sunday lunch is the best meal of the week and at Castle House we make it a special occasion. Bring the family or a groups of friends for a relaxing wind-down to the week. View Sunday Lunch Menu
